NJFA Youth Cup Series  2010-2011 Tournament Information

FORMAT

• USFA Membership required (except Y8); you may join at the door
• Initial seeding will be by the USFA National Youth Points / classification / year
• Mandatory Weapons Check
• One round of pools with 100% promotion out of pools to Direct Elimination
• Y8, Y10, & Y12 Direct Eliminations will be the best two out of three 5-point bouts
• Y14 Direct Eliminations = 15 point bout
• Fence-off for third place in all events
• Medals awarded to 3rd place

BIRTH YEAR ELIGIBILITY

• Y8 = 2002-2004 (*Y8 is not a USFA category, participation is at parent discretion)
• Y10 = 2000-2003
• Y12 = 1998-2001
• Y14 = 1996-1999

A fencer may compete in the next higher age bracket if they are on the current National Points List, i.e. a fencer on the current Y12 points list may fence Y14.

FEES

• Preregistered AND PAID through askfred.net $10 registration fee (nonrefundable) plus $25 per event
• Preregistered  - paid at the door $10 registration fee plus $35 per event
• Walk-in (without preregistration)    $10 registration fee plus $40 per event

PLEASE NOTE:  Events which have less than 6 fencers will be mixed
